Dr. Vinayaka U S is a consultant in non-invasive diagnostic radiology based at Mangaluru, the coastal city of Karnataka. He is a professor of Radiology & Imaging at Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, a constituent college of Yenepoya Deemed to be University, Deralakatte, Mangalore.
Sparsha Scans is his evening (3.30 PM to 8.30 PM) Doppler Sonography / Ultrasound consultation cabin, located at the ground floor of Vishwas Springfield building, Bendoorwell main road (Blasius M D’Souza Road), near Mangalore nursing home, opposite hotel Maya International (Balmatta to kankanady road), Mangalore – 575002.
Dr. Vinayaka U S graduated from Government Medical College, Bellary in the year 2001 & did his post-graduation in Radio-diagnosis from prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi in the year 2004. Later he completed his DNB in Radiodiagnosis from K G Hospital, Coimbatore, affiliated to the National Board of Examinations in June 2006.
Dr. Vinayaka started his career in radiology by joining as a junior radiologist at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai in July 2006 & worked there for about a year in the department of Radiodiagnosis of SRMC.On 16-07-2007, he joined as a faculty in the department of Radiodiagnosis at Yenepoya Medical College & since then is a part of the radiology team at Yenepoya Medical College and is presently Professor & post-graduate teacher in Radiology.
During his tenure as faculty of Radiology at Yenepoya, he is actively involved in diagnostic radiology services & academics of MBBS & MD curriculum. Since 2014 he has been a guide for MD Radiology students. He has also undergone training on radiation safety & quality assurance at Baba Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.
Best of basic radiology with a holistic approach is his preferred method of radiology practice & is keen in research, having published many articles in reputed journals, having both national & international circulations.
He is available at Sparsha Scans in the evening hours on all weekdays for Ultrasound / Sonography & Colour Doppler imaging, with prior appointments.
